We are based in Brighton and come to the car — on a drive, in a car park, or at the side of the A27. You hear the price, and how far the van has to come, before anything is agreed.

What we do
Seven jobs, one van, no workshop
Everything here is done where the car is. Pick the job to see what it involves and what to tell us, or go straight to a price.
- New tyresGive us the size from the sidewall and where the car is. We bring the tyre, take the old one off and torque the wheel on the same ground.
- Puncture repairA hole in the middle of the tread can often be repaired properly from the inside. A cut in the sidewall cannot, and we will tell you which you have.
- Locking wheel nutsThe key is in the glovebox, or it is not. Tell us which before we set off and the right removal kit comes with the van.
- Run-flatsThey still go down and they still have to come off at the roadside. They are heavier and stiffer, and they hide a puncture until the warning light comes on.
- Van tyresTransits, Sprinters, Crafters and the box van that should not have gone down that lane. Load ratings and twin wheels, not car tyres with bigger writing.
- Jump startsLights left on, a cold morning, or a car that sat in a station car park for a week. We jump it if it will take a jump, and we say so if it will not.
- RecoveryA blowout on the A27, a wheel that will not turn, or a car in a ditch off a Downs lane. What cannot be fixed where it stands, we lift and move.

The old tyre comes off, the new one goes on, and the wheel is torqued up on the same piece of ground — at home, at work or at the roadside.

The three roads
The A27, the A23 and the A259 run through all of it
If you are stopped on one of them, tell us the road, the direction and the last junction you passed. It matters more than the district.

Behind the coast, from Arundel to Polegate
It runs behind Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Lewes and Polegate. A shredded tyre past Arundel or a stop at Falmer is a longer run from the base than a puncture in Hove, and we will tell you so.

Down off the Downs into Brighton
Patcham is close to the base. Pyecombe sits further up the same road, where the gradient and the speed both change and a stopped car feels very exposed.

Seafront, cliff and harbour
A puncture on the Brighton promenade is a short hop. Peacehaven, Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne are the same road further along, and every mile of it counts.

All the questionsWhere do you start from?
Brighton. It is our only base; there is no depot or unit anywhere else. A job in Hove or Portslade is a short run. A job in Hailsham, Arundel or Pevensey is a long one, and every district page gives the straight-line distance from the base so you can judge it for yourself.
How quickly can you get to me?
We do not print a number of minutes on a website, because it would be a guess. When you get in touch we look at where the van is, where you are and what the A27, the A23 or the A259 is doing at that moment, and we tell you honestly then.
Do you come to my home or my work?
Yes. A drive, a street, a workplace car park or a supermarket bay all work, as long as there is firm, level ground beside the wheel and room for the van. On a steep street or a soft verge we may ask whether the car can be moved a short way first, if that is safe.
Can a puncture be repaired, or will I need a new tyre?
A nail or screw in the middle of the tread, on a tyre that has not been driven flat, can often be repaired properly from the inside. A cut in the sidewall, a hole near the shoulder, or a tyre that has been run flat cannot. We look at the tyre before we promise either.
How do I find my tyre size?
It is printed on the sidewall, in a line such as 205/55 R16 91V. The first numbers are the width, the profile and the wheel size; the last part is the load and speed rating. A photo of that line is the most useful thing you can send us.
