What we keep, and why
Short, because we collect very little: what you send us so we can price and do the job, and a small amount of information about how the site is used.
Who we are
This website belongs to Ironclad Mobile Tyres, a mobile tyre service based in Brighton, East Sussex. We decide what happens to the information described here. To ask about it, use the form on the contact page.
When you ask for a price
The form collects your name, your mobile number, the district, where the car is, the job, the tyre size and anything else you choose to write. We also record the page you were on, the time, the type of browser, and a one-word note of how you found the site — for example, a search, an advert or a direct visit. We use all of this to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to do the job.
If WhatsApp is offered, the form opens WhatsApp with your message already written. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and from that point the conversation is also held by WhatsApp under its own terms.
When you tap to call or message
If you tap a call or WhatsApp button, we record that the tap happened, on which page, and the same one-word note of how you arrived. We do not see anything you say in the call or the message through this website.
Information kept in your browser
This site sets no cookies. It keeps one short label in your browser's session storage — how you arrived — so that it is still known if you look at a few pages before getting in touch. The browser deletes it when you close the tab.
Visitor numbers
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which records pages viewed and rough device and country information without cookies and without identifying you. The site is hosted by Vercel.
The map
The maps on this site load their background images from CARTO, using map data from OpenStreetMap contributors. As with any website, their servers see your IP address when your browser asks for those images. A map only loads when you scroll to it.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or share your details for marketing. Price requests are stored in a private spreadsheet that only we can open. The companies that host the site and carry messages — Vercel, WhatsApp and our spreadsheet provider — handle the information on our behalf.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to deal with your request and the job, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
